I am a licensed independent social worker and earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Northern Iowa and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa. With over 22 years of experience in the field, I have worked extensively in the school system as well as with college-aged students and the elderly population. For 20+ years I've worked with clients to address substance use reduction or elimination, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, relationship issues, family conflict, etc. Using a strengths-based perspective, I draw from CBT, MI, DBT, EMDR, systems theory, and pain reprocessing therapy. Together, we collaborate to find the resolutions that fit you best. It is an honor to be invited to walk with someone along their life's journey. In a supportive environment, we address the specifics of what brought you to therapy with compassion, grace, hope, and some humor to boot. I have had the honor to work with many amazing individuals over my career; I'm excited for the opportunity to work with you!
